General Braxton Bragg's Battle Plan at Chickamauga on Sept. 20, 1863. On the second day of the fight, it fell to General L. Polk's Right Wing to attack early in the A. M. (5:30) and overwhelm the Union forces (Thomas, XIV Corps). Then as Polk drove South the rest of the Confederate Forces on the battlefield were to attack their Union front in echelon as indicated above. |
